I always was a very artistic person. all through my life iwas always drawing and making clothes (lowkey). I started piercing at Claire's/Icing when I was 18 and that opened everything. I began piercing all my friends and co-workers as well as babies and anyone else who came into the store. I became so good at it that I began piercing all the managers and district manager whenever they would come into the store. ;) i absolutely loved it ! I was in school at the time and I wanted more money so eventually I had to leave Claire's to start full-time employment but I still was piercing in my free-time as a side hustle. lol. In Aug of 2010 I got layed off and THATS WHEN MY LIFE BEGAN...
With so much time on my hands, because of my low interest in school and high demand for money, I began to take piercing more seriously. Studying everyday and practicing constantly. My friends started letting me pierce more and more parts of their body. I never formally had a full apprenticeship but my love for the art definitely helped make a name for myself.
My first piercing dun without a gun was done on Allison Sible. I was absolutely nervous that i chickened out twice cuz I didnt wanna hurt anybody lol...but after like 20 mins of backing out I eventually pierced her industrial and it was one of the best feelings I had in a while.
After more practice on my besties (bless their heart) I started takin my portfolios to various tattoo shops but with little apprenticeship and little experience I was shut down several times....
I finally remembered a previous tattoo artist who told me that once I learned how to pierce he would hire me....&& wat do yuu know (December 2010) HE GAVE ME LIFE....I will forever be grateful. Jay offered me a job as a piercer at Scissorhands tattoo ;))
I absolutely love my job and there is NOTHING else id rather do than pierce && tat.
...so after piercing for a month at the shop jay told us we can draw on our walls in our booth...i started drawing all my fav characters and cartoons && they realized I cud draw, asked me if I wanted to learn how to tat and the rest is LLLOOOVVEE.
&& this is where we begin.
